On why I chose Samsung B7320 over these two overrated phones; because they suck & windows mobile simply had them way back.
Iphone couldnt do:
1. video call,
2. bluetooth PC file transfer
3. synchronize outlook task, for the fact that we are working in a Microsoft environment.
4. customize home screen display (day to day calendar)
5. microsoft office file read/write
6. file storage
while BB performs much better than iphone, i still cant video call my wife & daughter. besides, the interface is complex & sophisticated, monthly commitment is required, and it doesnt run on windows mobile. so no full synchronization with microsoft exchange.
of the 10 smartphones pre installed with WinMobiles, I chose samsung for its qwerty keypad. so thats how i got my samsung omnia pro b7320. nice, sleek & light!

Finally we have arrived at a stage of sacrificing what we always not willing to let go: location, location, location.
A lot of consideration were put forward before we came up to the most 2 tempting and affordable neighborhood; AI & DA:
1. Distance to USJ
2. Distance to KLCC
3. Toll & LCC
4. Relatives within parameters
5. Exterior Design
6. Interior Design
7. Security
8. Landscaping
9. Fresh neighborhood
10. Public amenities
11. Distance to Parents/Inlaws
12. Contractors finishing
13. Developers reputation
14. and of course, price
We created an index against price offerings, so that the scoring wont be biased by selling price; and here’s the result:
Setia Alam: 38 (0.88)
Denai Alam: 43 (1.04)
Alam Impian: 46 (1.12)
Congratulations Alam Impian, you’ve won our heart, money & lifetime commitment!
Welcome but sorry for the fact that you are 2nd in our family

Practically, we have covered almost 60% maybe, coverage of new residential areas.
KL Area (no toll into KLCC)
Ampang Jaya: out (been there for the past 25 years)
Tmn Dagang: out (no new house built despite its strategic location)
Bukit Indah: out (new house too expensive - 2.5m)
Setiawangsa: out (too far)
Wangsa Maju: out (got subsale house but conservative design yet strategic nearby carrefour)
Wangsa Jaya: Under consideration
Ukay: not considered due to previous occurence
Satellite of KLCC
Cheras: out (MRR2 from bad to worse)
Gombak/Selayang: out (baby boomers area)
Ampang Hulu Langat: too far (old settlement)
Bangsar/TTDI: out of range
Bukit Indah: too drafty
Federal Highway area
PJ: only apartments, no new landed prop
Sunway: Cramped
CPO/Reserved/Rubber turned Residential:
Bukit Jelutong - beyond budget
Putra Height - too clustered
Ara Damansara - beyond budget
Bukit Bandaraya Shah Alam - too deep inside
Kota Damansara - house too old and worn out
Damansara Perdana - only apt avail
Denai Alam - under consideration
Puncak Alam - bukit cherakah?
Alam Budiman - turned off with the brick wall finishing and way too far
Setia Alam - too far & too Meruish
Bukit Raja - too far, but can be considered
Alam Impian - I&P and Naza TTDI had few decent project launch
Aman Perdana - too Meruish
Laman Seri - haha beyond budget
Sunway Alam Suria - similar to Alam Budiman, too far
No-no to:
Kajang
Nilai
Seremban
So that leaves us with Denai Alam, Alam Impian and Wangsa Jaya.
There are also DP, KD or other self proclaimed damansara addresses but we havent physically seen them.
Thanks again to Garmin, not a slight feel of loss of direction!
Sime & Naza TTDI btw had their showroom/offices nicely setup.
Houses with million RM tag now seems very common and popular. i wonder who are those riches *!@# spoiling the market for middle earner like us, making our life miserable to find a decent sized 22×80 house ! haha
